Hook Up: The Game on the App Store
I expected it to be like episode where you get to choose what you say but instead you just type the keyboard and the words appear. I think it could do with more development and more thing to do. Ignore the reviews that say anything about this being a short game. It has more replay value under the surface than you might think. The music, art style, interface and writing are on point and it does not take long before you are really invested in Alex, the protagonist of the tale, as she navigates her way though the fictional app and engages with a colourful cast of characters from the world of online dating.
At times it almost feels like a Black Mirror mini game! A mix of dark humour, intended cringe and some heart felt emotional interactions, Hook Up is worthy of its accolades and I cannot wait to see what the developer creates next!
